The George Mason men's basketball team will look to improve upon its unblemished home record and move up in the conference standings when it hosts Drexel on Wednesday night at 9 p.m., the lone regular-season meeting between the two schools this season ... Drexel comes to Fairfax at .500 in conference play with a 3-3 record, coming off a 80-66 loss in Williamsburg to William & Mary on Saturday, snapping a two-game win streak. Chris Fouch paces a trio of Dragons in double-figure scoring as he is averaging 17.2 points per game while Samme Givens averages a double-double, contributing 12.1 points and 10.5 rebounds per game. As a team, Drexel is out-rebounding its opponents by more than 11 boards per game ... Junior Ryan Pearson was named the CAA Player of the Week on Monday, his first such honor and the first of the season for Mason. Pearson averaged 19 points and 5.5 rebounds last week, including a career-high 24 points at Northeastern.
