The George Mason women's basketball team opens a three-game homestand welcoming the UNC Wilmington Seahawks to the Patriot Center for the 28th time in program history. The Colonial Athletic Association foes last met in Fairfax on February 25, 2010 with the Patriots taking the decision 63-53, thereby snapping an 11-game win streak the Seahawks held over Mason entering the matchup. UNCW is led in scoring and rebounding by Brittany Blackwell averaging 15.1 points per game and 8.6 rebounds per contest. Brittany Poindexter paces the Patriot offense draining 12.5 points per game, while Evelyn Lewis and Angelee LaTouche claim the rebounding lead averaging 6.1 and 6.0 rebounds per game, respectively.
