The George Mason women's soccer team finished its spring season last weekend as the Patriots went 4-2-1 in their seven competitions. After tying George Washington 0-0 and losing to Georgetown, 4-0, Mason closed the season with its Alumni Game as the current Patriots beat the alumni, 4-3. Redshirt senior Omolyn Davis scored all four goals in the contest for the Patriots.
As part of Alumni Weekend, the Patriots have out year-end awards. Earning the Offensive MVP award was Davis while senior Hannah Sklar was named Defensive MVP. The Most Improved award went to senior Theresa DeLucca while senior Colleen Killiany took home the Coaches Award.
The Patriots, who led the nation in 2009 in win improvement, picking up nine more victories than in 2008, will open the 2010 season on Aug. 25 when they play at Howard at 7 p.m. Mason's first home game will be Sunday, Aug., 29 when they host Navy at 3 p.m.
