2010 EIVA All-East Team in PDF Format 
FAIRFAX, Va. -
Sophomore Lance Rogers was named First-Team EIVA All-East for his performance during the 2010 men's volleyball season, the conference office announced on Thursday morning. Rogers ranks among the conference leaders in blocks per set and hitting percentage.
The Old Bridge, N.J. native has started 17 matches and played in 75 sets at middle blocker for the Patriots. Rogers is second in the EIVA in hitting percentage (.440) and fifth in blocks per set (1.28). He ranks 16th in the nation in blocks per set. Rogers averaged 1.92 kills per set and 2.69 points per set during the regular season.
In addition to the first team, the EIVA also released a second team. A total of 20 standout conference players were named either First- or Second-Team All-East. The conference also announced its major award winners. Max Lipsitz of Penn State was named the Uvaldo Acosta Player of the Year, Pat Schwagler of Princeton was named the Newcomer of the Year and Sam Shweisky of Princeton was named the Bob Sweeney Coach of the Year.
After concluding the regular season with a 7-18 overall record and 4-6 mark in conference matches, the Patriots will be the third seed in the upcoming EIVA Championship Tournament. Mason will host an EIVA Quarterfinal match against Rutgers-Newark on Saturday, April 24 at 7 p.m. at the RAC.
