In the second set, things were tight until Loyola looked poised to take a 2-0 lead, going ahead 28-25. But Mason rallied and closed out the set on a 6-1 run to even the match at 1-1.

The third set was close midway through with the score tied at 15 but the Ramblers were able to go ahead 24-20 and they went on for the 30-27 win. The final set saw Mason close a five-point Loyola lead to one at 25-24, but Mason made two big attack errors that allowed the Ramblers to go up 28-24 and from there it was just a matter of time until the match was over.

The Patriots continue their current road trip tomorrow facing the Lewis Flyers in Romeoville, Ill. First serve is scheduled for 7 p.m.
