The George Mason men's volleyball team returns home this weekend to host three matches at the RAC. The Patriots will face a pair of ranked nonconference opponents in Lewis and Loyola (Ill.), and an EIVA Tait Division opponent in Springfield College.
On Friday, Mason will take on No. 15 Lewis at 7 p.m. The Patriots will play No. 12 Loyola (Ill.) at the same time the following day. George Mason will close out the weekend with a conference match against Springfield College on Sunday at 3 p.m.
Mason enters the weekend with a 3-3 record and 1-1 record in conference matches after splitting a pair of EIVA Tait Division matches last weekend. Lewis enters Friday's match with a 7-2 record, while Loyola (Ill.) enters the weekend with a perfect 7-0 record this season. Springfield College is currently 6-4 overall and 1-2 against conference opponents.
Sophomore outside hitter Andrew Dentler leads the Patriots with an average of 5.56 kills per set this season. Freshman setter Javier Perez is averaging a team-high 12.67 assists per set. Senior libero Luke Maloney has averaged three digs per set through six matches.
Individual tickets to men's volleyball matches cost $5 for adults and $2 for youth, senior citizens and George Mason University faculty and staff. All full-time enrolled students at George Mason University will be admitted free with a valid Mason student ID. Tickets will be available for purchase at the entrance to the RAC Gym one hour prior to the start of the meet.
