RICHMOND, Va. - For the second straight week and the third time this season, freshman outside hitter Lana Zonjic has been recognized by the Colonial Athletic Association as its volleyball rookie of the week, the conference announced Monday. Zonjic helped lead the Patriots to a 1-1 record on the road last week.

Zonjic, a native of Zagreb, Croatia, tallied 22 kills (3.14 kps) in matches at UNC Wilmington and Georgia State over the weekend. She registered a .259 hitting percentage and also added 18 digs (2.57 dps), three aces and three blocks. On Sunday afternoon against the Panthers, Zonjic posted the fifth double-double of her career with 14 kills and 13 digs.

On the season, Zonjic is third on the team in points and kills with 232.5 and 195, respectively, while ranking second in aces (23) and fifth in digs (193).

Zonjic and the Patriots, who are locked in a four-way tie for third place in the CAA standings, close out the regular season this weekend at home, hosting Hofstra and Northeastern on Friday and Saturday evening.
