The Patriots opened CAA play with a scoreless tie at Old Dominion while VCU opened with a 2-2 tie at home against Northeastern and followed that up with a 2-0 road win at Georgia State... Mason took a 1-0 road win last season over the Rams to pull ahead in the all-time series, 9-8-7... This is just the second regular-season home match of the year for the Patriots who beat Richmond 2-1 in their only other outing at George Mason Stadium.
