The George Mason women's basketball team takes a break from the road for its second Colonial Athletic Association game at home, as the Patriots host Northeastern on Sunday afternoon. Tipoff is set for 2 p.m. at Patriot Center.
Northeastern is 6-9 overall and 1-3 in CAA play, with their lone victory coming in triple overtime over Old Dominion. Three Huskies are averaging double-digit scoring, led by Brittany Wilson's 16.8 points-per-game average. NU is scoring nearly 70 points per contest but being outrebounded, 42.3-38.5
NU leads the all-time series 5-4, with wins in each of the last five matchups against Mason.
Last time they met, Mason erased a 12-point halftime deficit to pull within two points in the second half, but Northeastern was able to hold off the Patriots and record a 57-47 Colonial Athletic Association victory on Feb. 1 last year at Solomon Court. Mason was led on offense by 15 points from senior Brittney Wilkins, while three Huskies reached double figures, led by 15 points from Kim Carr.
