Georgia State enters Sunday's game with an 11-10 record and a 3-7 mark in CAA play after falling 61-54 at home to Towson on Thursday night. GSU is led offensively by Jylisa Williams, who is averaging 11.6 points per game.
The two teams have met just three times since the Panthers joined the Colonial Athletic Association, splitting the first two matchups before a GSU win last season.
Last time they met, senior Casey Quigley led the Patriots with 11 points, but the George Mason women's basketball team fell to Georgia State, 64-49, in Colonial
Athletic Association action on Valentine's Day last season at GSU Sports Arena. Mason dropped to 9-14, 3-9 in the CAA, while the Panthers improved to 7-16, 4-8 in conference play. Quigley was joined in double figures by classmate Moni Akintunde, who poured in 10 points to go with a team-best eight rebounds. GSU was paced by a 25-point performance from Danyiell McKeller, as well as 20 points from Brittany Hollins. Mason was out-shot by a slim 43.1-to-39.1 percent margin from the field, but was outrebounded by a 39-29 differential.
