Box Score

Fairfax, Va. - On a cold, wet, rainy night, the Northeastern Huskies were able to put just three shots on goal against Mason but they made the most of them as they were able to come into George Mason Stadium and steal a 1-0 victory. The Patriots fell to 8-4-1, 3-2-1 in the Colonial Athletic Association. Northeastern improved to 5-6-0, 4-1-0 in the CAA.

The Huskies scored in the 28th minute off a corner kick, one of seven they took on the night. Andrew Cilotta took the corner kick and he sent it to the far post where Josh Danesh's head was waiting. He put the ball into the near post, high right to record the game's lone score.

Northeastern had seven corners in the game while Mason managed just three. There were 16 fouls in the game but multiple yellow cards. In the 72nd minute, Derek Markheim drew a pair of yellow cards and was ejected. That left Mason a man down for the final 18-plus minutes.

Scott Partridge made seven saves for Northeastern which has allowed just nine goals on the season in 11 contests. The seven shots on goal are the most a Northeastern opponent has managed this season.

The Patriots will return to action on Wednesday when they play at Hofstra at 7 p.m.
