FAIRFAX, Va. - The George Mason men's soccer team will attempt to extend its winning streak to three when it takes on Saint Joseph's on Wednesday at 7 p.m. at George Mason Stadium. In their last two matches, the Patriots have recorded a pair of shutouts, defeating the 15th-ranked team in the nation in Tulsa and scoring a season-high four goals against Richmond.

On Saturday against the Spiders, Mason began its four-match homestand by scoring four goals while holding its opponent scoreless to run its record above the .500 mark at 3-2-1. Freshman Draymond Washington scored the first two goals of his collegiate career in the match, while Axel Levry tallied the first score of his young career a mere 25 seconds into the match. Another freshman, Ryan Gracia, rounded out the scoring with his second goal of the season. Junior goalkeeper Sean Kelley played all 90 minutes in the net, stopping two shots on his way to recording his third shutout of the season.

The Hawks began their season with a scoreless draw against Drexel on Sept. 5, followed by a 3-2 overtime win over Delaware four days later. Saint Joseph's was held without a goal in its most recent match against Navy, falling by a final score of 1-0 on Sept. 12. Sophomore Giacomo DiLisi leads the Hawks with three points, with a goal and an assist this season, including the game-winning goal against Delaware. Senior Bryan Benedict has started all three matches in goal, recording 22 saves.
