The George Mason women's basketball team continues its pursuit of a first victory in the 2008-09 season on Monday when the Patriots visit High Point to open up the month of December.
Tip time from the Millis Center is 5 p.m.
High Point enters the contest with a 1-4 record after dropping its last three matchups, including a 79-69 loss at Mercer on Saturday. Three Panthers are averaging double-digit scoring, led by Jurica Hargraves who is chipping in 14.6 points per outing on team-best .491 field goal shooting.
Mason has never squared off against the Panthers, as Monday's matchup at High Point will be the two schools' first meeting. High Point is one of two teams that the Patriots will play this year for the first time, as last week's tilt at Jacksonville represented the first meeting between the two schools as well.
Through five games this season, the Patriots have done an excellent job of finding offense across their lineup, as five different players have led the team in scoring in each game. All have been double-digit performances, with the highest single-game total thus far coming from Brittany Poindexter, who chipped in 20 points in the season opener.
