    OAKLAND, Calif. - After scoring at least one goal in all three of George Mason's matches at the CAA Championship, senior forward Kwame Adjeman-Pamboe was named the Soccer America Men's Player of the Week on Tuesday. He was also named to the Men's College Team of the Week by TopDrawerSoccer.com and College Soccer News. Adjeman-Pamboe's scintillating play at the end of the regular season and throughout the conference tournament helped lead the Patriots to their 10th NCAA Tournament appearance in the history of the program.

    Adjeman-Pamboe scored four goals and added an assist as Mason won three consecutive matches to win the CAA Championship for the fifth time in program history, and the first since the conference adopted the tournament format beginning with the 1990 season, clinching the CAA's automatic bid to the NCAA Division I Men's Soccer Championship in the process.

    The Bowie, Md. native closed the regular season with four goals and three assists in the final four matches to help Mason clinch the third seed in the CAA Championship on the final day of the regular season. In the Patriots past seven matches, all wins, Adjeman-Pamboe has scored eight goals and tallied four assists.

    In the first round of the NCAA Division I Men's Soccer Championship, George Mason (13-6-2) will host the Ivy League Champion, the University of Pennsylvania (11-2-4), at George Mason Stadium on Friday, Nov. 21 at 7 p.m. The winner of Friday's first round match will advance to the second round to take on the No. 2 seed in the entire tournament, the Maryland Terrapins, on Tuesday, Nov. 25 at 7 p.m. in College Park, Md. Maryland (18-3-0) won the Atlantic Coast Conference tournament to earn the conference's automatic bid.

    With its run to the CAA Championship, the George Mason men's soccer team made its way into Soccer America's final Top-25 poll of the 2008 season. The Patriots are ranked 18th in the poll, which was released on Monday. Mason is ranked fourth in the South Atlantic region in the latest NSCAA/adidas poll and are in the others receiving votes section of the NSCAA/adidas and College Soccer News polls.
