FAIRFAX, Va. - After earning EIVA Newcomer of the Year and First-Team EIVA All-East honors last week, redshirt freshman opposite hitter William Price added another award when the conference named the Laytonsville, Md. native its EIVA Tait Division Player of the Week for his efforts in George Mason's quarterfinal win in the EIVA Championship Tournament on Saturday. It is the second consecutive week Price has been named the Player of the Week and the fourth time this season he has won the award.

Price hit .654, with match-highs of 24 points, 18 kills and four aces as the Patriots easily defeated East Stroudsburg 3-0 in the quarterfinals of the EIVA Championship Tournament to advance to the semifinal round.

With Mason leading 20-12 in the first game, Price put on an awesome display to close out the game, serving the final 10 points. Price served all four of his aces during the 10-0 run and tallied two of his match-high 18 kills during that stretch.

Price ranks among the national leaders in kills per game, points per game and aces per game. He is third in kills per game with an average of 5.51, third in points per game with an average of 6.68 and third in aces per game with an average of 0.66.

George Mason, the third seed in the EIVA Championship Tournament, will play the second seed, the St. Francis (Pa.) Red Flash, on Thursday, April 26 at 4:30 p.m. in the semifinal round of the tournament, held at the home of top-seeded Penn State.
