Comcast SportsNet continues its tour of the region's top basketball programs with the next stop the Patriot Center on Wednesday, Jan. 24 for the Patriots game against Virginia Commonwealth, who sit atop the CAA with an 8-0 record. "SportsNite on Campus" heads to Fairfax to capture every aspect of the George Mason basketball experience, beginning at 6:30 p.m. from their remote location on the concourse, followed by the CSN's live broadcast of the game at 7 p.m. and post-game interviews for the 10 o'clock news.
Prior to and following the game, the "SportsNite on Campus" crew will be live from the Patriot Center bringing viewers interviews with George Mason coach Jim Larranaga and VCU coach Anthony Grant. During SportsNite at 6:30 p.m., Jill Sorenson will be live with George Mason assistant coach Scott Cherry. After the game, Comcast will capture post-game interviews and listen to Larranaga break down the game.
"SportsNite on Campus" will also feature a student reporter's perspective on the game, a half-time interview with George Mason Athletic Director Tom O'Connor, and more. The"SportsNite on Campus" marketing and camera crew will be stationed around the arena's concourse, interviewing students and other George Mason fans.
