The George Mason women's soccer team will look for its first Colonial Athletic Association win of the season on Sunday afternoon when the Patriots take on the Hofstra Pride in Hempstead, N.Y. at 1 p.m. The Patriots dropped their CAA opener on Friday at Northeastern while the Pride won their first CAA match of the year beating Towson at home.
Mason comes into the match beseiged by injuries. Junior midfielder Jessica Paris was lost for the season with a knee injury after starting the first four matches of the year. Her replacement in the lineup, Mary Raveia, also suffered a season-ending knee injury in her first game in the starting lineup. Also out for the year with a knee injury is midfielder Annie Lebherz. Meanwhile, defender Laura Salich is questionable for Sunday's match with a leg injury.
The Patriots are currently 3-5-1 on the season but they have dropped their past four matches, all as a result of shutouts. They have been held scoreless for the past 390 minutes.
