Series Record
The Patriots own a 32-16 advantage in the overall series between the Seahawks, including a 15-8 record when playing at the Patriot Center. When squaring-off in Wilmington, Mason has won 13 of the 21 meetings and the Patriots own a flawless record of 4-0 when facing the Seahawks on neutral ground. Earlier this year, UNCW claimed a 64-51 victory on Jan. 13 in Fairfax.

UNC Wilmington snapped a three-game losing streak against VCU in Richmond on Feb. 26 winning by an overtime score of 71-67. The Seahawks have only lost four times on their home court this season, three of which were CAA contests, including a 54-47 loss to Georgia State. Sahsha Taylor leads UNCW with an average of 11.3 points and 7.0 rebounds per game, while Alex Stewart has tallied 26 blocks on the year.
Last Time on the Court
On senior day, Mason's women's basketball team edged Towson in a Colonial Athletic Association match-up by a score of 50-45 at the Patriot Center on Feb. 26.
Mason's lone senior, guard Jen Daniels, was honored prior to tip-off for all of her hard work and dedication to the program.
The first half was tied twice and the lead changed two times, but there was a combination of 24 turnovers between the two teams. With the score tied at four, Mason went on a 7-0 run to put the score at 11-4 (13:53) after a made jumper by junior forward Tracy Ann Holness. Mason was up by four points (18-14) with just under five minutes, but the Tigers responded with a 7-2 run to pull ahead and went into the break with a 23-18 advantage.
Towson extended its lead to six in the opening minute of the second stanza after a made 3-pointer from Kelly Robinson for the Tigers' largest lead of the game. Mason came back and tied it at 33 with about 10 minutes remaining after a made lay-up by junior Nikkia Slade .
Sophomore guard Casey Quigley sank one from long range to knot the score at 42 (4:53), which started a 9-0 run by the Patriots and gave them a six-point advantage with 46 seconds left. Towson's Kacy O'Brien cut the deficit to three after making a trey just seven seconds later, but sophomore guard Keyhana Wakefield (Albany, N.Y.) made two free throws down the stretch to seal the victory for Mason.
Holness led the Patriots with 11 points, while Wakefield netted a team second-best 10 as she was 7-of-11 from the charity stripe. Holness tallied a game-high five steals and was one shy of tying her career-best, while Daniels matched a game-high four assists.
Tierra Jackson led the Tigers with 13 points and also registered a double-double as she grabbed a game-high 14 rebounds.
Mason shot 30 percent on the day (17-of-56), while Towson made 18 of its 46 attempts (39 percent). The Patriots went to the line 19 times and made 12, while the Tigers were 5-of-6 from the charity stripe.
That's a Wrap
Since becoming a member of the CAA (1985-86), Mason is 11-9 overall in final regular season games and the Patriots are 3-5 when the last contest is on the road.
11 And Counting
Two Patriots have each had double figure scoring games 11 times this season in sophomore forward Moni Akintunde and junior forward Tracy Ann Holness.
Started All Year
Two Mason athletes have started every single game this season in senior guard Jen Daniels and sophomore forward Moni Akintunde. One other Patriot has seen action in every game this year, sophomore forward Tracy Ann Holness.
Tying it Up
Sophomore guard Casey Quigley sank a key 3-pointer late in the game to help lift Mason to a 50-45 victory over Towson on Feb. 26.

Points Galore
Junior forward Tracy Ann Holness made a career-high 10 field goals and netted a personal-best 25 points at Georgia State on Feb. 24. Holness' point total marks a new season-high of points scored by a Patriot in a single game this year.
Freebies All-Around
The Patriots made 25 of their 28 attempts from the charity stripe on Feb. 24 for a season-high 89 percent from the line.
New Standard for Treys
Mason drained a season-high 10 baskets from beyond the arc in its win over GSU on Feb. 24.
Most this Year
The 83 point showing on Feb. 24, is the highest point total for the Patriots in a single game thus far this season.
70 or More
Mason's game against GSU was the fifth time this season in which the Patriots collected 70 or more points and they own a 5-0 record in those contests.
Frequent Fliers
After the match-up in Atlanta against GSU, Mason has no more flights remaining this year. The Patriots finished the 2005-06 campaign with a 4-1 record when using a plane as the mode of transportation.
Season Sweep
Mason has now swept two conference schools on the season as the Patriots defeated William & Mary (Jan. 15 & Feb. 5), along with Northeastern (Feb. 3 & Feb. 12). In addition, the Patriots won their only meeting at Hofstra (Jan. 29) and at Georgia State (Feb. 24).

Playing Host
For the second-straight year, George Mason will host the Colonial Athletic Association Championship which will be held from Mar. 8-11 at the Patriot Center.

Former Mason standout Jen Derevjanik became just the second Patriot to play in the WNBA as she was on the Connecticut Sun's roster for both the 2004 & 2005 seasons. Both years the Sun made it to the WNBA Finals.
