TOWSON, Md. - Junior Sarah Fack scored the only goal of the match early in the first half as George Mason edged Towson by a 1-0 margin in a Colonial Athletic Association match at the Tigers' cold and wet Towson Center Field on Friday afternoon.

Fack, who scored her fourth goal of the season in the 11th minute, gave the Patriots the only goal they would need as they pulled out a victory in the season finale for both teams.

Senior goalkeeper Olivia Brown (Highline H.S./Seattle, Wash.) and a strong Patriot defense protected the lead as George Mason handed Towson its seventh 1-0 loss of the year. Posting her second shutout of the season, Brown made eight saves.

At the 10:55 mark, Fack took a pass from junior Rachel Wiggins (Darlington H.S./Acworth, Ga.), spun around a defender and fired a shot from 12 yards out into the right corner of the net to give the Patriots the lead. It was Wiggins' fifth assist of the season.

Brown turned back several scoring opportunities in the first half as the Patriots recorded their sixth shutout of the season.

Junior goalkeeper Brandi Daniels (Harborfields H.S./Huntington, N.Y.) made eight saves for the Tigers. George Mason outshot Towson by an 18-10 margin.

Prior to the game, the Tigers honored seniors Brittany Wilson (Governor Thomas Johnson H.S./Frederick, Md.), Tiffany Wilson (Eleanor Roosevelt H.S./Bowie, Md.) and Lauren Windsor (Strath Haven H.S./Wallingford, Pa.) on the occasion of their final college game.
