Fairfax, Va.--Thirtieth-ranked George Mason University's men's soccer team (11-4-1, 7-2-1 CAA) lost just its second Colonial Athletic Association game and its first at George Mason Stadium this season as James Madison (9-5-2, 4-4-2) claimed a 1-0 victory over the Patriots Sunday afternoon.
The lone goal was scored in the 10th minute of the contest after JMU senior midfielder Mark Totten took a soft shot to the lower right corner about three yards out for the game-winning goal.
Mason freshman netminder Sean Kelley (Lexington, Ky.) saw action the entire 90 minutes and tallied six saves, but did allow the one goal. Senior Kevin Trapp collected two saves on the afternoon for the Dukes.
JMU outshot Mason, 14-5, and also had a slight advantage on the corner kicks, 6-4.
Mason will close out its regular season on Oct. 27 with a match-up against CAA-leading Towson at George Mason Stadium, with kick-off slated for 7 p.m.
