FAIRFAX, Va. - Despite receiving a double-double from junior outside hitter Jaqueline Kohler, George Mason (5-12, 2-9 CAA) couldn't overcome the Delaware Fightin' Blue Hens (15-5, 6-5 CAA) in Colonial Athletic Association women's volleyball action at John Linn Memorial Gym on Saturday evening.

After dropping the first two games by final scores of 30-26 and 30-23, the Patriots dominated the third game, winning by five points, 30-25. The game was never in doubt as Mason's largest lead in the game was 10 points. The momentum didn't carry over into the fourth game; however, as the Fightin' Blue Hens jumped out to an early 5-0 lead en route to a 30-20 victory to take the match 3-1.

Kohler led the Patriots in kills, digs and aces. She recorded 13 kills on 45 swings and set a new career-high with 22 digs in the match, in addition to serving up two aces. Freshman setter Katie Corcoran once again led Mason with 35 assists. As a team, the Patriots had eight more blocks than the Fightin' Blue Hens. Senior middle blocker Janelle Wilson led the way with seven blocks. In addition to her blocking, Wilson also chipped in nine kills on 16 swings in the match.

The trio of Kelly Gibson, Colleen Walsh and Michelle LaLonde led the Delaware attack. Gibson and Walsh both finished with 22 kills, while LaLonde added 17. Junior setter Megan Welch led all players with 67 assists. Senior libero Heather Ranck finished with 21 digs in the win.
