Fairfax, Va.--George Mason University's head men's soccer coach Fran O'Leary has announced that seven student-athletes have committed to attend and play for George Mason University, starting in the 2005 season.

The athletes include Addison Bender (MF, 5-10, 170, Harrisburg, Pa./Central Dauphin), Jonathan Borrajo (MF, 5-9, 170, Clifton, N.J./Clifton), Hugh Fike (D, 6-0, 180, Santa Rosa, Calif./Cardinal Newman), Jason Levine (GK, 5-10, 160, Parkland, Fla./Marjory Stoneman Douglas), Meir Lewin (D, 5-10, 140, Rockville, Md./Walter Johnson), Tyler Orzak (D, 6-0, 165, Centennial, Colo./Cherry Creek) and Nick Rhodes (F, 5-10, 165, Centreville, Va./Westfield).

"We are excited about the group of student-athletes we are adding to the 2005 roster," said O'Leary. "We are looking forward to see what the newcomers will bring to the George Mason soccer program as they are all of good character and possess a lot of potential."

Addison Bender (MF, 5-10, 170, Harrisburg, Pa./Central Dauphin) 2005 graduate of Central Dauphin High School... Four year varsity letterwinner in soccer... Tallied 21 career goals and dished out 15 assists as a Ram... Garnered Big 11 Second Team honors... Named to first team all-district senior year... Member of the All-Star West team in 2005... Advanced to the semifinals (2005) and the finals (2004) at the Tampa Bay Sun Bowl... Premier Club, Avalance FC 86, crowned Richmond Tournament Champion in 2004.

Jonathan Borrajo (MF, 5-9, 170, Clifton, N.J./Clifton) Graduated from Clifton High School in 2005... Earned four varsity letters in soccer... Named second team all-county in 2002 and first team both junior and senior years... Earned first team all-league honors in 2002 & 2003... Garnered Second Team and First Team All-New Jersey honors junior and senior years, respectively... Named to the All-North Jersey First Team in 2004... Scored 29 career goals and dished out 50 assists at Clifton... Played with the Clifton Stallions soccer club for six years... Member of the National Honor Society.

Hugh Fike (D, 6-0, 180, Santa Rosa, Calif./Cardinal Newman) Graduated from Cardinal Newman High School... Four year varsity letterwinner in soccer... Press Democrat All-League Honorable Mention (2001), Second Team (2002) and First Team (2003, '04)... Earned All-Redwood Empire First Team honors senior year... NCS Champions in 2004... NBL League Champions both junior and senior seasons... Played one year of varsity football... Named `Kicker of the Year' for football senior season... Played for the Santa Rosa United soccer club for nine years... Scored 45 goals and dished out 34 assists in his career at Cardinal Newman.

Jason Levine (GK, 5-10, 160, Parkland, Fla./Marjory Stoneman Douglas) Graduated from Marjory Stoneman Douglas... Played four years varsity soccer... Named Rookie of the Year in 2000... Earned second team all-county both junior and senior seasons... Played for soccer club teams Portland Predators (three years) and Coral Springs Storms (five years)... Collected 37 career shutouts in 6,895 minutes in the net at Marjory Stoneman Douglas... Finished high school career with a goals-against-average of 0.89.

Meir Lewin (D, 5-10, 140, Rockville, Md./Walter Johnson) Graduated from Walter Johnson High School... Played three years varsity soccer... Named Rookie of the Year in 2002... Captain both junior and senior seasons... Garnered Team MVP honors in 2004... Named to the all-state, all-county and all-Met teams last two years with the Wildcats... Earned scholar-athlete award in 2002 & 2004.

Tyler Orzak (D, 6-0, 165, Centennial, Colo./Cherry Creek) Graduated from Cherry Creek High School... Played soccer four years, earned two varsity letters... Earned Coaches Centennial League All-Conference Second Team honors in 2003 and First Team honors in 2004... Named team MVP junior season... Served as team captain in 2004... Bruins' leading scorer freshman year and was team captain... Named to the Kick-off Classic All-Tournament Team in 2003... Scored 37 goals and dished out 20 assists while at Cherry Creek... Member of the DECA marketing group... Played club soccer with the Colorado Storm and Colorado Soccer Academy... Member of the U17 Colorado State Cup Champions (2004), as well as U16 the preceding year... Disney Soccer Showcase Finalist in 2004 (club soccer)... Part of the Regional 3v3 champions (2000-04).

Nick Rhodes (F, 5-10, 165, Centreville, Va./Westfield) Graduated from Westfield High School... Three-time varsity letterwinner in soccer... Named captain of the Bulldogs in 2005... Garnered all-district first team honors, all-region second team honors and The Washington Post All-Met Honorable Mention honors senior year... Member of the 2005 Virginia High School Coaches Association All-Star Team... Recognized as the Team MVP senior year... Named MVP at University of Central Florida's Elite Soccer Camp (2004)... Member of the 2005 Concorde District Champion team and the AAA Northern Region Champion team... Westfield part of the `Virginia Final Four' senior year... Also played three years basketball and earned one letter... On the honor roll freshman year.
