Fairfax, Va.--George Mason University's head women's basketball coach Debbie Taneyhill has announced that Leteisha Wade (G, 5-8, Willingboro, N.J./Willingboro/Marshall) has accepted a scholarship to play for the Patriot basketball squad. Wade has joined the team this semester after transferring from Marshall University and, due to NCAA transfer rules, will sit out through the fall semester and has three years of eligibility remaining.

Transfer from Marshall University where she saw action in four games...named a Street & Smith's and a McDonald's Honorable Mention All-American in both 2003 and 2004 while attending New Jersey's Willingboro High School...helped guide Willingboro to the 2002 Group 3 State Championship as a junior...averaged 20.8 points, seven assists, five rebounds, three steals and three blocks per game in the '02 state title run...selected to the All-South Jersey team, the All-New Jersey Group 3 team and the All-Burlington County teams her junior and senior seasons...named to the All-Liberty Division First Team all four years at Willingboro...averaged 17.9 points and 6.5 assists/game as a senior...1,000 point scorer...played in the New Jersey North/South All-Star Game.
"We are really excited to get another athlete from an outstanding high school program like Willingboro," said Taneyhill. "Leteisha will bring great speed, quickness, and scoring to Mason and we look forward to her suiting up after the fall semester."
