The George Mason men's basketball season gets started on Thursday afternoon at 5 p.m. when the Patriots travel to Winston-Salem to take on UC Irvine in the 2K Sports College Hoops Classic benefiting Coaches vs. Cancer. This season, there will be plenty of ways for fans to enjoy games, be it at home or on the road.
All home games will feature free live stats on the Internet and reasonably-priced live Video Streaming as well. In addition, all home and away games can be heard on the radio or Internet.
The Mason athletics web site, GoMason.com, can link fans to video, radio and webcasts of the events. Just click on the Audio/Video link near the top left of the page, and you can choose to follow games for free by clicking the appropriate GameTracker link. Under the Audio/Video banner at the top of that page, you can click on the advertisement for All-Access to purchase the video streaming and radio broadcast of the event.
For $6.95 per month, fans can watch the action inside the Patriot Center while listening to the live radio broadcast. The radio broadcast is also available for all away games. In addition, the radio broadcast is free for students and it also can be heard over the air at 1310 AM.
Finally, fans can get the latest updates on the team by calling the Patriot Sports Hotline. This 24-hour service can be accessed by dialing (703) 993-4074 and updates can be heard typically within an hour of an event's conclusion.
