The George Mason men's basketball team will take the court on Saturday evening looking to snap a two-game losing streak as the Patriots take on Manhattan College at 7 p.m. in Riverdale, N.Y.
Mason defeated Manhattan, 78-66 last year when the teams met as part of the ESPN Bracket Buster. That was the first-ever meeting between the two schools.
Mason (1-2) opened the season with a 23-point win over UC Irvine in the Coaches vs. Cancer Classic. The Patriots followed that game with a five-point overtime loss to then-No. 18 Wake Forest. After an 11-day layoff, Mason retook the court only to fall at home to Creighton by 20 points.
Manhattan (0-1) opened the season on Nov. 14 with a 14-point loss to Seton Hall. The Jaspers got a strong performance from CJ Anderson as he had 16 points, six rebounds, five assists and three steals.
Mason has been led this season by Tony Skinn and Jai Lewis. Skinn is sixth in the CAA in scoring while Lewis is second in rebounding and seventh in field goal percentage.
