Boston, Mass. -- The George Mason men's soccer team ended the night with a scoreless tie against Northeastern at Parsons Field. The teams battled through two overtimes with no score and the Patriots now sit at 4-4-2 overall and 0-1-2 in the CAA.
NU had a goal taken away within the opening minutes of the game when the referee called a Husky player offside. Five minutes later, junior Daryl Brack missed a shot wide off a cross from senior Jay Betley.
In the second half, Northeastern had multiple chances but couldn't seem to get a shot on net. The Huskies played stonewall defense allowing only seven shots of which none were on net.
In the first overtime, sophomore Greg Kilkenny and Brack each missed a shot that could of won the game. Kilkenny had NU's only chance with a shot in the second overtime.
NU had a lead on corners 11 to six and out shot the Patriots by a 20 to seven margin. George Mason keeper Eric Barnes made three saves on the night.
