The George Mason women's volleyball team might be starting the 2004 season a little later than expected. As a result of the impending arrival of Hurricane Frances in Florida, the Patriots have cancelled their trip to the University of South Florida, where they were scheduled to play one game on Friday and two games on Saturday. The Patriots have not given up hope of playing somewhere this weekend, however. The coaching staff is still looking into some options and hopes to find some opponents for the season-opening weekend. The Patriots will still get a chance to visit Florida this season, as they are scheduled to play at Florida State on September 17 and 18.
