Felix Campos and second-place have gotten very comfortable this year. The junior from Puerto Nuevo, Puerto Rico is second in the nation in points per game and second in the nation in kills per game among NCAA Division I and II players. This week, he earned another second-place honor.

Campos was named to the second team All-Eastern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association after compiling a school-record 446 kills. Aside from adding the school's single-season rally-scoring record for kills to his resume, he recently became George Mason's all-time career leader in kills during the rally scoring era. Campos has recorded 5.90 points per game, 5.13 kills per game and is also leading the team in service aces, with 35. He's second on the club in digs with 116 and he's third in hitting percentage with a .265 mark.

Joining Campos on the second team was sophomore Matt Steinfurth. The middle blocker from Portsmouth, Va. was named to the second team as a freshman. This year, he led the team in total blocks and was second in hitting percentage and kills per game. He had 171 kills, hit .336 and 2.41 kills per game to go with 85 total blocks and 1.20 blocks per game.

Shortly after learning of these honors, the Patriots went out and upset Princeton in the quarterfinals of the EIVA Tournament. It was the first time in 13 tries this year that the Patriots won a match away from John Linn Memorial Gymnasium. George Mason is two wins from the Final Four, but to get there, they will have to first upset No. 7 Penn State on the road in the EIVA semifinals. That match is scheduled for Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
