George Mason returns home to the Patriot Center on Wednesday to face Iona at 7 p.m. The Patriots are hoping to end a two-game losing skid after dropping back-to-back contests to nationally-ranked teams.

The Patriots (3-3) lead the Gaels (2-4) 1-0 in the series. George Mason defeated Iona 92-83 on Nov. 29, 2003 in New Rochelle, N.Y., giving Patriot head coach Jim Larranaga his 300th career victory.

Iona, which is 0-2 on the road this season, enters Wednesday's contest on a three-game losing streak. The Gaels are coached by Jeff Ruland, a former two-time All-American at Iona who went on to play for the National Basketball Association's Washington Bullets for five seasons in the early 80's.
