Fairfax, Va.--George Mason University's men's soccer team (7-11-1, 3-6 CAA) closed out its 2004 season with a 2-1 loss to James Madison (15-2-1, 7-2) on `Senior Night' Friday evening at George Mason Stadium.

Prior to kick-off, seniors Danny Climo (Wirral, England), John O'Hara (Foxford, Ireland), Matt Mendy (Banjul, Gambia) Damien Quinn (San Diego, Calif.), David Quinn (Kilkenny, Ireland) and Barry Suber (Woodbridge, Va.) were honored for all of their hard work and dedication throughout the years with Mason's men's soccer program.

Sophomore midfielder Mike Tuddenham opened up the scoring for the Dukes at the 19:58 mark as he sent the ball into the net with a bicycle-kick move off of a pass from sophomore midfielder Kurt Morsink.

Mason junior forward Steve Alabi (Rotherham, England) tied up the game in the 51st minute as he scored off of a penalty kick after Tuddenham received a yellow card inside the box.

Junior midfielder Bobby Humphrey scored the game-winning goal for JMU at 61:24 as he shot the ball from 35 yards out off of a corner kick and watched it sail over O'Hara into the left top corner of the net to put the score at 2-1.

O'Hara played the entire game for the Patriots and gave up two goals, while amassing four saves on the night. Sophomore goalkeeper Kevin Trapp collected six saves on the evening and only allowed one goal.

Shots were even on the night at 11 a piece, while the Dukes had a slight advantage on corner kicks with five to the Patriots four.

Mason has concluded its 2004 season and will not return to action until Fall 2005.
