Fairfax, Va.--Junior forward Teba McKnight (Couva, Trinidad) earned Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Player of the Week honors for his efforts during the opening weekend of conference play, as well as against #3 Penn State (Sept. 28). Earlier in the week, McKnight was named Brine co-CAA Player of the Week for the second time this season with the first honor coming on Sept. 20.

On the week, McKnight scored four goals and tallied one assist to amass nine points for the Patriots. McKnight opened up the scoring against Delaware (Oct. 1) and went on to net his third game-winning goal of the season in the 102nd minute to lift the Patriots to a 3-2 overtime victory Friday evening over the Blue Hens. In Mason's 3-0 win over Towson (Oct. 3), McKnight dished out an assist on the game-winning goal and went on to score the final two goals for the Patriots. McKnight currently sits first among his conference peers in total points with 19 and is tied for third in goals with seven.

The Patriots (6-3-1, 2-0 CAA) host a pair of conference match-ups this weekend as Mason will face UNC Wilmington on Oct. 8 at 7 p.m. and will then compete against VCU at 1 p.m. (Oct. 10) at George Mason Stadium.
