After a 10-day layoff, the George Mason men's basketball team returns to the hardwood Saturday evening at Patriot Center. The Patriots, who are 7-2 on the season, begin their CAA slate tonight when the team hosts Towson (3-6) at 7 p.m.
Mason is undefeated (4-0) against the Tigers at PC, and has won four straight over TU since it joined the CAA two years ago. The Patriots have been victorious in 11 of the last 12 meetings overall and holds a 16-8 all-time record in the series.
Since the 1989-90 season, George Mason is 6-8 in its first game in the new year, reeling off six straight wins since the 1997-98 campaign.
