FAIRFAX, Va. - Forward Colin Wyatt (Williamsburg, VA), a sophomore on the George Mason men's basketball team, has been granted a release, and plans to transfer to another school, head coach Jim Larranaga announced.

"Colin is a fine, young man," said Larranaga. "My coaching staff and I wish him the best, and we hope he finds a school that meets his needs."

Wyatt had been a member of the Patriot basketball program for two seasons, having played on the team last year and as a freshman in 2001-02, where he averaged 2.0 points and 1.2 rebounds in 24 appearances.

Last season, the 6-9, 220-pound graduate of Jamestown High School, saw action in 18 games and concluded the year averaging 1.6 points and 1.4 boards per contest. He missed the first seven games of the season rehabilitating his left knee following surgery he had on Sept. 25.
