FAIRFAX, VA...George Mason University's women's volleyball team (12-12, 8-4 CAA) dropped a three-game decision to Towson (22-4, 12-0) on Saturday night at the John Linn Gymnasium with scores of 23-30, 24-30, 23-30.

Prior to first serve, seniors Aline Pereira (Sao Paolo, Brazil), Milena Racic (Pozarevac, Yugoslavia) and Marie Skelton (Jr.; Curtin, ACT, Australia) were honored on senior day for their contribution to Mason's volleyball program.

Pereira led the Patriots with a match-high 20 kills, while freshman outside hitter Natalia Porosa (Scarborough, Ontario) collected a career-high four solo blocks for Mason. Junior setter Jesica Umansky (Buenos Aires, Argentina) registered her 11th double-double of the season with 30 assists and a match second-best 12 digs.

Sophomore outside hitter April Hoffman pounded a team-high 15 kills, while junior middle blocker Liz Goubeaux drained a team second-best 12 kills for the Tigers. Senior libero Lisa Weir collected a match-high 15 digs, while junior setter Mary Clare Coghlan paced Towson's offense with 43 assists.

On the night, Mason notched 37 kills off 104 total attacks and 21 errors for a .154 hitting percentage, while the Tigers collected 54 kills from 114 total attacks and 19 errors to hit .307.

The Patriots will return to action on Nov. 14 when they face-off against Hofstra in Hempstead, NY. The first time these two teams played this season, Mason defeated the Pride in five games on Oct. 18.
