FAIRFAX, VA--George Mason University's volleyball team (16-14) will face No. 14-seeded Colorado State (28-4) in the First Round of the NCAA Tournament on Dec. 5 in College Park, MD, with first serve at 5:30 p.m. The two other schools competing at this site are American and Maryland.
The Patriots defeated Hofstra, 3-1, in the championship match of the Colonial Athletic Association Tournament on Nov. 22 to receive an automatic bid to the Tournament for the second-straight year. Last season, Mason fell to Michigan State in the First Round in South Bend, IN, by a score of 3-0.
The Rams defeated Utah in four games in the championship match of the Mountain West Tournament to receive an automatic berth. This is CSU's ninth-straight trip to the NCAA Tournament and the 15th time overall.
Tickets are $11 for adults and $8 for students, children and senior citizens for two-day passes. Single-day tickets will be $7 for adults and $5 for students, children and senior citizens, but will not be available until the day of the match(es).
