George Mason and nationally-ranked Maryland are set to tip-off Tuesday in a battle of two of the area's top teams. Both the Patriots and the Terrapins enter the contest at 1-0.

Maryland holds the edge in the series at 5-0, but four of those five wins were by less than 10 points, while three of the five were by less than three points. Mason last faced the Terrapins in the first round of the 2001 NCAA Championships as UMCP came away with an 83-80 victory.

The contest can be seen live locally on Comcast SportsNet, beginning at 8 p.m.
