FAIRFAX, Va. (AP)- Mark Davis scored 20 of his career-high 26 points in George Mason's 75-53 win over Drexel Saturday afternoon.

George Mason (7-4, 2-0 Colonial Athletic Association), which has been held to less than 50 points in a game twice this season, outscored the Dragons (6-5, 1-1) 32-9 over the final 13 minutes of the first half to take a 52-22 halftime lead. The Patriots, which shot 61 percent in the first half, held the Dragons without a field goal for nearly 12 minutes while making their run.

The Patriots scored just two points in the first eight minutes of the second half, which allowed the Dragons to cut the lead to 17 at 54-37.

However, the Patriots rediscovered their offense and went on a 13-0 run that pushed the lead back to 30.

Phil Goss scored 15 points to lead Drexel, which has now been on both sides of offensive outbursts in a half in this series.

In the first meeting between the two schools last season, Drexel shot 70 percent from the floor in the second half and made 10 3-pointers in the game.

George Mason made eight 3-pointers Saturday, three each from Davis and Raoul Heinen, who finished with a career-high 19 points.
