Senior Machel Millwood had a goal and two assists to lead Towson to a 3-1 victory over George Mason in a Colonial Athletic Association men's soccer game Friday night at George Mason Stadium.

Towson won its third straight game to improve to 9-4-2 overall, 4-1-1 in the CAA, while George Mason fell to 7-5-3 overall, 2-2-1 in the CAA.

Millwood scored Towson's first goal of the night at 18:27, taking a pass from senior Kevin Corradini and sending an 18-yard shot into the net for his 10th goal of the season. He would assist on the other two Tiger goals to give him 11 assists on the year.

Corradini scored the second Towson goal, his first of the season, at 26:53 as Millwood started the play on the endline. He sent a pass into the center of the penalty area to senior Randy Tolson, who touched it off to Corradini for a 15-yard shot and a 2-0 Tigers lead at halftime.

Mason began to get the better of the play in the second half and found the back of the net as freshman Steve Alabi scored his fourth goal of the season at 67:11, sending a 14-yard shot into the left corner of the net off a cross by sophomore Helmis Matute. But Millwood would clinch Towson's victory as he took the ball off a Patriot corner kick, dribbled the length of the field and passed off to senior Ade Elliott, who scored his third goal of the year from 10 yards out at 85:09.

Senior goalkeeper Andy Hicks had eight saves for Towson, while sophomore John O'Hara had five saves for the Patriots.

George Mason plays its final home game of the regular season Sunday on "Senior Day" as it hosts Delaware at 1 p.m. The Patriots will honor their three seniors - Matt Friedman, Laszlo Juhasz and Radovan Pletka - prior to the game.
