O'Hara, Patriots Ranked 14th for GAA

Sophomore goalkeeper John O'Hara and the George Mason University men's soccer team is ranked nationally in the NCAA Division I statistics for the fourth consecutive week.

Through games of Sept. 29, O'Hara (Foxford, Ireland) leads the Colonial Athletic Association and the South Atlantic Region and is ranked 14th in the nation with a 0.66 goals-against average. For the season, he has allowed five goals in 678 minutes over seven games and he adds 31 saves (tied for ninth in the region).

As a team, George Mason is also ranked 14th in the nation for team goals-against average at 0.66. At 4-1-2, Mason is off to its best start since opening 7-0-1 in 1996. The Patriots also are ranked tied for sixth with Virginia Commonwealth in the South Atlantic Region after being ranked sixth on Sept. 9, fifth on Sept. 16 and tied for third on Sept. 23.

George Mason begins a four-game road trip at Liberty tonight at 7 p.m. before opening its Colonial Athletic Association schedule Saturday at James Madison at 7 p.m.
