Philadelphia, PA ... Seniors Caroline Kent and Katy Robertson each scored goals in the second half to lift George Mason to a 2-0 victory over Pennsylvania in a non-conference women's college soccer game Sunday at Rhodes Field in Philadelphia, PA.

The victory snapped a four-game losing streak for George Mason, which improved to 3-6 overall. Penn dropped its second straight contest to fall to 5-4.

Neither team managed to score in the first half, but the Patriots got on the scoreboard at 53:46 as Kent took passes from senior Katy McGee and sophomore Sarah Wilkinson and slipped the ball past the Penn goalkeeper for her fourth goal of the season. Robertson got her second goal of the year at 73:00 as she beat a defender to a long pass from junior Jennifer Orr to provide Mason with a cushion down the stretch.

Sophomore Sarah Coughlin made her first start of the season in goal and posted one save in the first half, while senior Naomi Hines played the final 45 minutes and recorded a season-high eight saves as the duo shared the shutout.

George Mason remains on the road this week as they visit nationally ranked Princeton (22nd by Soccer Buzz, 25th by SoccerTimes.com and 23rd by the NSCAA in the Sept. 23 polls) Wednesday at 6 p.m. before taking a 1-1 Colonial Athletic Association record into a conference matchup at William & Mary Saturday at 7 p.m.
