Patriots Meet Seahawks on Family Weekend

Fairfax, VA ... The George Mason University women's soccer team will meet Colonial Athletic Association foe UNC Wilmington Sunday as a highlight of Family Weekend on the Fairfax campus Oct. 18-20.

The George Mason men's soccer team also will be featured as it entertains nationally ranked Maryland Saturday night at 7 p.m.

The Patriot women (5-9 overall) take a 3-2 CAA record into Sunday's contest with UNC Wilmington (8-5 overall), which has a 1-4 conference mark heading into its game at James Madison Friday. Senior Katy Robertson, the current CAA Player of the Week, leads the Patriots with 11 points on four goals and three assists, while seniors Caroline Kent and Katy McGee (both with four goals, one assist) and sophomore Sarah Wilkinson (three goals, three assists) each add nine points.

Sophomore Caroline Renkin leads UNC Wilmington with six goals and 15 points, adding three assists. Junior Ann Weaver has five goals and one assist for 11 points, and sophomore Kristine Mengle has three goals and four assists for 10 points. The Seahawks have scored 29 goals in 13 games.
