The 141-pounder finished his first season competing for the Patriots with a season-high 28 wins (28-15) and was designated an NCAA Alternate for the NCAA Championship. He was ranked as high as 17th nationally this season. Madrigal received the NCAA Most Technical Falls award in Division I. The Patriot captain led all NCAA Division I wrestlers in tech falls by a landslide with 14, five more than the trio of Spencer Lee (Iowa), Pat Glory (Princeton) and Nicholas Piccininni (Oklahoma State). Madrigal was recently accepted into the George Mason educational psychology graduate program to pursue a Master's in Psychology.
