An 11-year veteran of George Mason athletics, Michael Ouellette joined the department’s academic staff in January 2006.
As academic coordinator, Ouellette works primarily with the men’s basketball program, monitoring student-athlete academic progress, tracking eligibility and advising student-athletes on major and class selection. He also serves as the director of the athletic department’s tutorial program.
Ouellette came to Mason from the University of Pennsylvania, where he served as an assistant academic coordinator for the Quaker athletic department in 2004 and 2005.
Ouellette graduated from Clemson University in 2001 with a degree in psychology. He earned his master’s of education in counseling in psychological services from Springfield College in 2003.
He began his career in athletic academic services in 2002 with a graduate intern position at the University of Delaware.
A native of Springfield, Mass., Ouellette resides in Centreville, Va., with his wife, Nikki.
