Quinten Patterson

George Mason Athletics named Quinten Patterson as the department's Sports Dietitian in February 2026.

Prior to joining George Mason, Patterson's background reflects a diverse blend of experience across clinical nutrition, research, and sports performance. 

Patterson experience in sports nutrition includes serving as an Seasonal Sports Dietitian for the Tampa Bay Rays Triple-A affiliate, the Durham Bulls, during the 2024 season, as well as assisting NCAA athletes prepare for the NFL combine with EXOS Sports Performance Center in Plano, Tx. 

Prior to joining George Mason, Patterson was a registered Dietitian at VIDA Fitness, where he provided nutrition counseling and support to clients as part of the organization's health and wellness initiatives.

A native of Texas, Patterson's professional experience spans multiple settings. He previously served as a Renal Dietitian with DaVita, focusing on patient-centered care in a dialysis clinic environment. Patterson also worked as a Clinical Dietitian with the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services, supporting psychiatric patient care.  Early in his career, Patterson held a role at UTSouthwestern Medical Center as a Research Assistant, contributing to biomedical and clinical research efforts in developmental nephrology. 

Patterson earned his Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from Oklahoma State University in 2014, where he also competed as a collegiate wrestler, and later completed his Master of Science in Clinical Nutrition at the University of Texas Southwestern in 2023.

Outside of work, he enjoys weightlifting, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, video games, and exploring new foods, interests that align closely with his passion for performance, health, and lifelong learning.

Patterson currently lives in Washington, DC with his spouse, Noemie.
