Patrick Nightingale joined George Mason Athletics as the General Manager of PlayFly, the Patriots multi-media partner in May 2024.
Patrick Nightingale joined the team in May 2024 as the George Mason General Manager for Corporate Sponsorships, which covers in-venue and event sponsorships, official designation rights, digital engagement, and promotions.
Nightingale brought to GM more than 10 years of experience leading business development teams across IT, GovCon, and Sports & Healthcare verticals. Building his sports portfolio, most recently Patrick was Director of Partnerships for The St. James, a state-of-the-art wellness, event and sports facility in Springfield, Virginia. He drove the unprecedented growth of the Washington Spirit (NWSL) sponsorship portfolio through their championship season in 2021.
Nightingale’s business career began in college with an internship in Delgate Gorden Helsel's office where he learned first-hand that barriers families face in their athletic pursuits. After spending five years working in offshore content development with Aptara and SPi Global (Now Straive), Patrick joined Qbase LLC. and supported several large-scale FBI, NSA, and DoD winning proposals.
A lifelong Virginian, Nightingale resides in Springfield. He was born and grew up in Sterling as the oldest of four siblings, with two brothers and two sisters. Patrick's sisters Jenny and Hannah played collegiate soccer at Frostburg State and Mary Washington.
Nightingale earned a B.A. from Christopher Newport University in Communications & Political Science.
A hometown Washington Wizards fan, Nightingale also roots for roots for the Pittsburgh Steelers, Pirates, and most importantly the George Mason Patriots! He lives with his dog Lennox.
