George Mason University Athletics

Matthew Lord joins the George Mason Men’s Tennis program as an assistant coach. Lord spent his collegiate tennis career playing for the University of Virginia from 2017-2021. During his tenure at UVA, Lord achieved several accolades, such as VaSID All-State in doubles, ITA Scholar-Athlete, and ACC Champion.

Lord graduated from Kingswood Oxford High School, where he finished his high school tennis career with a record of 109-3 and was ranked as high as #6 in the country.

Matthew has two sisters, Dayna and Melissa Lord, and one brother, Alman Lord Jr. Dayna is a 2017 Brown University Women’s Tennis alumna, and Melissa is a 2019 Stanford University Women’s Tennis alumna.
