Keon Marsh joined George Mason University staff as the assistant strength and conditioning coach, overseeing men's basketball and men's golf performance in May 2023. 
 
Marsh arrived in Fairfax after serving as an assistant strength and conditioning coach for football at James Madison University. 
 
Marsh’s career began in 2019 as an Intern Strength and Conditioning Coach for Sam Houston State University, where he worked alongside the football program. In August 2021, Marsh accepted a Paid Internship at Delaware State University working alongside all 18 varsity sports. In January 2022, Marsh returned to Sam Houston State University as a Graduate Assistant working alongside football, men's and women's basketball, bowling, and women's sprinters programs. While at Sam Houston State, Marsh was a part of a historic men’s basketball season. The program recorded a 25+ win season and secured an at-large bid to the NIT, including defeating Santa Clara for the program's first major post-season victory.
 
Marsh earned his Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Shaw University in 2019. He is currently in a Master of Science program for Kinesiology at Sam Houston State University.
 
Marsh is a certified specialist by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) and the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association (CSCCA). In addition, he is fully trained and certified in Functional Range Conditioning (FRC). 
 
A native of Queens, NY, Marsh is married to Melissa Amezquita-Marsh. He is the author of a book titled ‘The Ripe Spots in a Hard Foundation’ that he formulated with his twin brother. He has five sisters and three brothers, and his parents are of Jamaican descent.
