Morrisroe enters his 11th year as a member of the George Mason University Athletics Department.
In July 2026, Morrissroe earned a promotion to Deputy AD, Capital Projects, Facilities and Events. Morrisroe serves as Intercollegiate Athletics' primary facilities authority and liaison with University Space and Capital Planning, Facilities Management, Environmental Health & Safety, and external consultants. He leads all minor renovation and deferred maintenance projects and support larger capital initiatives in collaboration with university leadership, architects, engineers, and contractors.
Morrisroe contributes to departmental strategic planning and long-range operational initiatives while collaborating with the Athletics Director and Senior Leadership Team on operating and capital budgets related to facilities, events, and infrastructure.
A veteran of the department,
Morrisroe previously worked as the Senior Associate AD for Events and Facilities for two seasons. Prior to that, Morrissroe was the events, facilities and operations coordinator from 2014-19 and helped oversee major facility upgrades, including the basketball practice facility renovation (2017) and basketball locker room update (2018). He worked as championship director and site rep for A-10, NCAA and EIVA Championships as well during his time in that position.
Morrisoe played collegiate baseball at Concord University, where he graduated in 2012 with a degree in recreation/tourism management. One of 10 All-Americans in the program’s history, the standout catcher was inducted into the Concord University Athletics Hall of Fame in 2018.
Morrisroe was voted all-region in three seasons, named to the All-WVIAC First Team twice and earned a Rawlings Gold Glove during his career.
Following his playing career,
Morrisroe joined the collegiate coaching ranks as a member of the baseball staff at Bethune-Cookman from 2012-14. While in Daytona Beach,
Morrisroe earned his master’s degree in transformative leadership from the University.
Morrisroe previously also worked as operations manager at Legends Attractions – The View of DC 2019, where he oversaw a team of 10 to plan and execute all special event logistics for the landmark facility.
