JP Miller finished a tremendous career with the Patriots before joining the coaching staff in 2023.
Miller finished his career with the third-best scoring average (74.42) in Mason history, earned all-conference honors, named as a 2022 Golf All-America Scholar,
and is in the Top 5 in several categories in Mason history.
The Windermere, Florida native participated in 107 rounds during his five-year career. Miller was the team's leader and top golfer before a preseason injury kept him out of the final spring championship season in 2023, but not before he etched his name firmly in the Mason history books.Â
During the four-tournament fall schedule, Miller earned a Top-12 finish in three events, including a 9th place finish at the St. John's Doc Gimmler Tournament. He led the team with a 72.25 stroke average.
In 2021-22, Miller played in all 12 tournaments for the Patriots, and was medalist at the Advance Golf Partners tournament which helped the team to a third-place finish overall. He led the team in par five scoring with a 4.75 and pars per round with 11.31. He achieved the second lowest score on the team with a 68 at three different tournaments. With a seventh overall finish individually Miller helped the Patriots to a third-place finish at the Atlantic 10 Championship, its best finish since joining the conference in 2013-14. Miller's accolades earned him first team All-Conference.
