Hannah Foley is the Assistant Director of Athletic Communications at George Mason University, serving as the primary sports information director for women’s volleyball, women’s basketball, and women’s lacrosse. Since joining the department full-time in the summer of 2024, Foley has played a key role in promoting George Mason student-athletes and programs through strategic storytelling, media relations, and content development.
A native of Arlington, Virginia, Foley previously worked within George Mason Athletics as an intern in both the Sports Information and Marketing departments during the 2023-24 academic year. Prior to her time at George Mason, she interned with the WNBA’s Connecticut Sun in 2023. She graduated from Connecticut College in 2023.
In her role, Foley organized media operations during women’s basketball’s historic first Atlantic 10 Championship and NCAA Tournament appearance. She also serves as the script writer for the annual Green & Gold Ceremony, George Mason Athletics’ year-end student-athlete awards celebration, and led 50th anniversary campaigns for the women's basketball (2023) and women's volleyball (2024) programs. Foley has successfully pitched and secured coverage opportunities with outlets including USA Today, CBS Sports Network, DC News Now, ABC7, NBC4, NCAA March Madness, and Nothing But Net with Debbie Antonelli, among others.
Foley currently lives in Washington, D.C., with her partner.
